Henrietta lacks family compensation

BALTIMORE -- The family of Henrietta Lacks reached a settlement Mon in their lawsuit against a biotech group over the use of birth Baltimore woman's immortal cells, publicize as "HeLa cells."

The lawsuit, filed in 2021, demanded compensation go allout for Thermo Fisher Scientific's use treat the cells, which were captivated without Henrietta Lacks' permission decades ago and are still organism used for medical research at the moment.
